BeNoted Smart widget for online stores

It started as a pop-up, but that sounds like another ad, and it isn't one. We called it a smart window. The developers and I talked through what we wanted many times, knowing the first version would not be perfect.

I studied the competition: large online stores and well-known bloggers use similar widgets. What are they used for, how many buttons do they have, and why are they so hard to place well? With the research done, I designed it as a compact but powerful tool that works for many kinds of businesses.
